Danced and Collaborated: Olivia Emert and Anna Boehm

I work to challenge my own thoughts and habits pertaining to movement as well as the traditional beliefs surrounding dance in western culture. I aim to reject the typical power dynamics and hierarchical roles that come with being a choreographer and invite collaboration. In the process of creating a work, my goal is for everyone involved to feel they have autonomy within the piece. I believe the body is an archive, and ownership of works is shared by all those involved.
